Refunds

If Monitile Pro is not for you, you have fourteen days to get your money back. You do not have to explain why.

Fourteen days, no questions asked

Within 14 days of purchase you can ask for a full refund of Monitile Pro. You do not need to give a reason, there are no forms to fill in and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

The reason is simple: Monitile costs about as much as a coffee and a half, and an argument over a refund costs both of us more than that. If you do not need it, take your money back.

This is a voluntary policy, offered as a commercial choice. It is in addition to the rights the law grants you — described further down — and does not replace them.

That said, the best route is not to need it at all: the Pro features are already active for fourteen days from the first launch, with no card and no sign-up. Try them before you pay, and buy only if they have genuinely been useful to you.

How to request it

Write to info@monitile.app stating:

  • the email address used for the purchase, or the order number shown on your receipt;
  • nothing else. Really.

If you prefer, you can contact Freemius directly: it is the seller and actually handles the payment. You will find its details on the receipt sent to you when you placed the order.

Timing and method

The refund is issued to the same payment method used for the purchase, for the full amount paid. It is initiated within a few working days of the request; how long the money takes to reach you then depends on the card network or your bank, and is normally a matter of days.

There is no charge to you for the refund.

What happens to the licence

With the refund, your right to use the Pro version ends: you are required to remove the licence from the program (Editor → Licence section → Remove licence).

Monitile keeps working in the free version, with capture, restore, unlimited sessions and automatic start-up. You do not lose your saved sessions or any data: they stay on your computer.

The right of withdrawal

For digital content supplied on a non-tangible medium, European consumer law provides a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, which however is lost when performance begins immediately, with the buyer's express consent and acknowledgement of the resulting loss of the right (Article 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU).

That is exactly what happens when you buy Monitile: the licence is generated and sent by email within moments of payment, which is why you are asked to give that consent when you place the order.

In practice this does not affect you, because the voluntary refund policy described above gives you fourteen days to change your mind anyway — the same period, without the conditions. The distinction matters only on a formal level.

If the program does not work

The legal guarantee of conformity is a different matter and does not expire after fourteen days: if Monitile has a defect, does not match its description or stops working as it should, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity and, where the conditions are met, to a price reduction or termination of the contract. The licence terms cover this.

But write to us first: many reports are resolved with a setting or a fix. If you can, attach the logs\tracker.log file described in the guide — but look through it first, because it contains the names of the programs you had open.

One caveat

The fourteen-day policy is meant for people who buy in good faith and find that the program is not for them. We reserve the right not to apply it in cases of obvious abuse — for example, repeated purchases systematically followed by a refund request.

This reservation does not in any way affect the rights the law grants to consumers.
